Jinzhao Yuan Refrigeration delivered a comprehensive 4,000㎡ dual-function cold storage facility for Beijing Meilay in Changping District, Beijing — integrating both deep-freezing and fresh-keeping functions to serve the enterprise’s diversified cold chain logistics requirements.
Beijing Meilay operates a major food logistics and distribution platform in the Beijing metropolitan area. Their Changping facility required a purpose-designed cold chain center combining frozen goods storage with fresh produce preservation. The dual-function requirement, combined with Beijing’s complex climate conditions (summer highs above 38°C, winter lows below -15°C), demanded sophisticated system engineering.

- Fresh-keeping zone: Scroll compressor units with humidity control
- Insulation:
- Freezing zone: 200mm PU panels with reinforced floor insulation (anti-frost heave treatment)
- Fresh-keeping zone: 150mm PU panels
- Anti-Frost Heave: Electric heating cables embedded under freezing zone floor slab to prevent ground frost heave
- Doors: Automated insulated sliding doors; high-speed roll-up doors at dock areas
- Control System: Unified SCADA monitoring system covering both zones; mobile app remote monitoring for management team
Special engineering considerations were implemented for Beijing’s extreme seasonal temperature variations:
- Summer: High ambient condensing temperature compensation — VFD-controlled condenser fans and water spray pre-cooling for condensers
- Winter: Crankcase heaters, refrigerant liquid line protection, minimum compressor head pressure control
- Total cold chain capacity: 3,000 metric tons (combined zones)
